Meet Leo McGrath, Wootanga Park Jerseys & Brown Swiss

Why Brown Swiss?:I was really taken with Brown Swiss at IDW 2020 watching them in the ring, how big they are, how quiet they are.

First Brown Swiss: I boughtmy first Brown Swiss in August 2020 from Tandaraand put her in the STGenetics Online Show and also took her to the Heifer Day in Rochester. After that I got three more Brown Swiss from Islandrock, then in March another 25 from Balgaree Brown Swiss that have all calved now.

What are your plans?: We are located in Orford in South West Victoriaand milk mostly Jerseys. We plan to milk 425 Jerseys and around 25 Brown Swiss.

Tell us a bit about you: I first started showing cows 5 years ago (at the age of 12) and establishedmy stud,Wootanga Park Jerseys,which has now become Wootanga Park Jerseys and Brown Swiss. I hope along with my sisters Rachael & Maureen to keep showing and breeding my Jerseys and Brown Swiss this year and for many years to come!
