Why Brown Swiss?: I’ve grown a real soft spot for Brown Swiss. You just can’t beat their big personalities!

First Brown Swiss: I purchased my first Brown Swiss last year from Rod and Natasha Yarrington at Yarona Park and will be forever grateful to them for giving me the opportunity to start my next journey. I now own four Brown Swiss.

What are your plans?: I have about 40 Holsteins in a partnership ranging from babies to milkers. My favourite thing about dairy farming is breeding and showing my cows. There is nothing more rewarding then rearing calves and then watching them grow and then seeing them produce milk. Makes the early morning and late nights all worth it.

Tell us a bit about you: I found my love and passion for dairy farming when I started milking after school about 8 years ago. When I was given the opportunity to start my own little herd with my best mate it was like a dream come true. My passion is breeding and rearing good heifers and it just makes it all worth it when they are yours. I’m so excited to see where my Brown Swiss take me!
